In order from left to right:
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick; 637 Blushing Nude
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick; 725 Love That Red
Maybelline COLORsensational Matte; 660 Touch of Spice
Rimmel Moisture Renew; 700 Nude Delight
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter; 025 Peach Parfait

The first two Revlon's have the same consistency, which is fairly nice. I honestly have no complaints on these. They go on smooth and dry with a sleek shine. I've found that they both last longer with a lip balm underneath. I wore both of them through out the month of October and got compliments on both. Out of the two, my favorite is the Blushing Nude. It looks well with everything!

The Maybelline Matte is another favorite. The Touch of Spice is a mauve, purple-y, maroon color and I absolutely LOVE it. The matte texture allows me to put a clear lipgloss over it if I like to give it a shine, though most of the time I've worn it plain. I think this looks perfect with a black outfit, as it really makes the lipstick pop and you could definitely look like Lorde with this look. haha tips for next Halloween, maybe?

The Rimmel Moisture Renew is the lipstick that I'm going to be going out to buy more colors of. This was EXACTLY the lippie I was looking for in my Let's Talk About post! (Which you can find here). It does what it says it will do, moisturizes your lips while going on smooth and shiny and PERFECT. I got mine in Nude Delight, which isn't really an Autumn color, but I'd heard really good reviews on the tint. And it's wonderful. Out of all the lipsticks above, I've worn this one the most and would definitely recommend it!

The last Revlon here was kind of a surprise. It was on sale for half the price, so I picked it up because you would too, be honest. Now, when they say Colorburst, they mean tons and tons of glitter. It's a darker pink than I imagined it would be, being labelled Peach Parfait. I didn't really like all the glitter. It feels weird on the lips and doesn't blend well.

In the back; E.L.F. Moisturizing Lipstick in Pink Minx
In the front; E.L.F. Moisturizing Lipstick in Coral Cutie

I got these two lipsticks in my huge E.L.F. haul. I ordered online, so I had never seen the actual colors in person. Colors online and in person can look so different! The Pink Minx wasn't as pink as I thought it was going to be. It's a little dull looking, like it has a hint of a nudish tint to it, so it's not obscenely bright. I've only worn it once and I'm not sure if I'll wear it again. The Coral Cutie is a hidden gem, though. The name coral doesn't do it justice, as it's rather orange as well when you wear it. I think it's comparable to Topshop's Infrared, though for a much cheaper price. Would DEFINITELY recommend.

What lipsticks have you been loving this autumn?

D.I.Y time!
I was honestly so excited to do this and add a cute touch to my room. I've seen a ton of these pictures on tumblr and have always liked it, but could never really find the vase for it. So when I finally found one at Michael's, I went ahead and did the whole thing! So, here we go!

You'll need a bowl or vase to put everything in. I found a slanted cut bowl from Michael's for $10! Some aquarium gravel, you don't need to have the multi color, I just thought it would add an extra pop of color. I've seen a lot with white gravel. And finally, three to four cactus's. (Cacti? Whatever.) Also, I would suggest putting some paper down so the potting soil doesn't get everywhere, something else you'll need.

So I used about a quarter of the gravel to cover the bottom of the bowl. You could put the whole bag in, but I wanted to make sure I had enough room for everything.

Then you put your potting soil in there. I'm a little OCD, so I patted it down around the edges until I was content. (Sigh).

Then you can start putting your cactus's in! I almost opted to leave one out, to have more room and make it look a little bit cleaner, but I decided on all four. Pour some water on there so they don't die within the first week. (Wal-mart rarely waters their plants).

For a finishing touch, I added a small handful of gravel sprinkled about

And voila! All done. It looks so nice on my dresser and I couldn't be more thrilled!

What touches have you added to your room?

e.l.f. Studio Lip Exfoliator

I've struggled for years with dry and chapped lips. Especially in the winter months. And then when they get better I get that dead skin that just loves to peel and be disgusting all the time. It's been a constant struggle, which is a main reason why I've never worn lipstick or anything that would accentuate all that... extra stuff on my lips. I've always stuck with chapsticks and clear glosses. So I obviously started looking for exfoliators that would help me in this situation. And usually, when you Google these types of things, you come up with the DIY options. The simplest choice because you just use things that you have around the house.

I've tried the sugar and honey one. With minimal results. I found that I was more inclined to lick up the honey and sugar rather than to let it sit on my lips and let it do it's job. Whoops. There were other options as well, but with a not so desirable result the first time, I began looking elsewhere. And then, while stocking up my cart during a massive sale, I found this gem. A lip exfoliator in lipstick form. Not only is it quick and convenient, it actually works! And it's only three dollars so it was worth the risk of not liking it. I'm determined to go back and buy the lot at Target.

Some of the main ingredients are, clearly, sugar, grape seed oil, avocado oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter. All held together with two different types of wax. The first wear doesn't do much, as you need to break through the first layer of wax, but the second wear is much better. You can feel the sugar scraping off the dead skin and I will tell you, it feels awesome! I've been using this for about a week and a half now and my lips are already noticeably softer. It's made wearing lipstick a more pleasant experience, as I'm no longer self conscious about how it's making my lips look. (Other than fabulous, of course). I would suggest putting lip balm on first, and then going over it with the exfoliator, it will definitely help make your lips softer, faster.

What do you do to exfoliate your lips?

I'm one of those people that can read a million books at once, so I thought it would be nice to sit down and discuss what I'm currently reading, what I've finished and what not. I like to see what other people are reading as well. Goodreads is a good place to keep a virtual bookshelf of what you want to read next, what you've already read, and you can write reviews on it and everything. You can find me on goodreads here.

I'll admit that when I started writing this post, I was halfway through this book. I've since finished it (whoops) and honestly have nothing but good things to say about it. Let It Snow is written by three different authors. Each of them write about ten chapters of a story and it's blended together seamlessly. The first story is of a girl who's dating someone who might not be right for her. The second of a boy who is in love with his best friend and definitely doesn't know it. And the last is of a yet another girl who is just a little caught up in her own world. The stories take place in the same little town and move over the expanse of three days. I would recommend that you actually read this during December, since it is more of a Christmas type book and the mood would just be better set with snow outside your window.

The other book I'm currently in the middle of is, don't laugh, a biography of Henry VIII. Henry the 8. Henry 8. Henry Rex. Henry Tudor. If you're not annoyed with me yet, then that means I still have your attention. As most of the people who know me well know, I'm slightly obsessed with Tudor era England. I want to blame BBC's The Tudors (which you should definitely watch because Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Henry Cavill are all the reasons why) but I can't place the blame on them, really. In sixth grade, I had a history project given to me on the monarch and, because I was a child and not really interested, I did some lame family tree and passed with a C minus. Whoop! However, once the project was done and over with, I still found myself looking up information on the Tudor family. Not to mention The Other Boleyn Girl came out and that got me hooked. By the way, don't watch that as it's not historical correct. (Neither is the Tudors, but it's a lot closer). Anyway, The Mask of Royalty is a deep look into the man that most people know as 'The Wife Killer'. This is the first biography on the king that I've read and so far, I'm really liking it. It definitely gives you another side of him to look at and if you're a history buff or just like learning about random things, I would get into this.

E.L.F. haul coming soon! I just have to get the package from my mum's house! : )
