Hello Loves!

It feels like it's been ages since I did one of these posts, even though it looks like it's only been about a month. I was doing so well with reading one book after the next, but I kind of took a little break for no reason for a couple weeks. But I got myself together and finished reading the book I was supposed to finish ages ago, haha. So here we go!

So after having this in my possession for about a month, I had to kick myself to get reading it. I think I was in a little slump after finishing All The Bright Places by Jenniver Niven. It was such a sad and undesirable ending. I don't think I even did a review on it! You can find where I posted about it here in my last Something post, but I never went into much detail. You know it's a good book when you feel a bit depressed about it being over. This book was a bit similar, though it had a much happier ending!

The Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby starts out rather depressingly. I'm not going to get into it and give out any spoilers, but the main theme of this book is about moving forward when you've lost someone close to you, someone you love. And as you'll probably be able to read from the main summary, the main character is struggling with the loss of her boyfriend, who was an organ donor. To help ease her pain and hopefully move on, she writes to the people that have received his organs. And every single one of them responds. Except one. You guessed it, the one who received his heart. The one organ that she feels is the main core of a person and who they are.

It's a very confusing, emotional, roller coaster of a ride throughout the rest of the book and I have to say I was a little annoyed sometimes when she didn't do something that she was supposed too. It would have made things easier, I think, but then again, the book would have been over way too soon and left a couple of empty strings. I gave this book a 3 star rating on Goodreads.com and I think you should check it out!

I'm currently reading A Lion Among Men by Gregory Maguire.
What are you reading right now?

Hello Lovelies!
I remember when I used to binge read blogs and see practically everyone doing little summaries of their days. I always enjoyed reading them because I liked seeing what people were up too and how they were feeling that particular day. I can't for the life of me recall seeing one being done recently, (if I've missed a blogger who does them let me know in the comments), so I thought I would start doing them myself. A lot of them used to be daily ones, but I thought I would do weekly ones and go from there. Plus who knows when something interesting would happen, haha.

♥ I won this cool power bank from the company I work for. Which is good because I always worry about my phone losing power when I'm on the train or something. Now I just have to remember to charge this, LOL.
♥ I've been trying really hard to stay healthy the past little while, but ROLOS. (They ordered a giant bag of them for the office and... I can't stop).
♥ I've really been loving JoJo's Tringle. Like, this is my childhood nostalgia coming back from the dead month, I swear! S Club 7 is ON TOUR! Did you know that?!
♥ Aside from listening to Jojo's melodic voice on repeat, I've been in such a poor mood lately. Uninterested, unmotivated, uninspired, just not willing to do things that I would normally love to get done. I don't want to say it's because of my living situation (which still hasn't changed) but I'm going to say that's what it is. Life is being really hard right now.
♥ Wedding planning.... what wedding planning?!
♥ I've finally made it to Season 4 of House, MD! *claps hands* This is an achievement for me, since I've been meaning to catch up on this show for ages. Have I mentioned that I'm also WAY behind on Bones?
♥ Favorite anything of the month: Hobbie Stuart.

I'm tagging any blogger that happens to read this to do their own daily/weekly/monthly summary because I miss reading them!

Hello Lovelies!

I have quite a different kind of review for you today!
I don't know about any of you, but I have struggled with losing weight for years. I'm always up and down and it's very aggravating. Currently, as much as it pains me to admit, I'm the biggest I've ever been. Trying to get down back to my old weight is something that I've been working on, but it's definitely a lot harder than Pinterest makes it look!

The lovely people over at SLIMQUICK Pure sent me a sample of their weight loss drink, specifically designed for women. Now, I'm all for the whole, if men can have it so can I, but let's be honest here. Men and women are different, their bodies react differently to different things. And, going even farther, every single person's body is different.

This drink claims to help you lose 3x the weight by targeting six of the main factors that prevents us from losing weight. It helps to:

1. Increase Metabolism
2. Reduce Appetite
3. Boost Energy
4. Reduce Excess Water
5. Support Hormones
6. Reduce Stress

It has all the natural ingredients like Vitamin D, antioxidants, calcium, and they've also thrown in BioPure Green Tea, which is exclusive to SLIMQUICK. Green tea is good for helping you to lose weight on it's own, so I like that they mixed it in with other healthy ingredients.

One of the BEST things about it, aside from helping you lose weight, is that it is completely portable! I take the train to and from work and sometimes having to hold a drink and making sure it doesn't fall over is annoying. But being able to just throw one of these little packets into my purse and making it when I get into work is so convenient. I'm going to admit, the aftertaste is a little strong. It lingers for a bit and you can really taste that Green Tea. Putting ice in it seemed to dilute that strong taste and after that, I couldn't stop drinking it!

If you're not a fan of the mixed drinks like this one, their website has a different variety of things that you can try! I definitely have my eye on their Pure Protein Shake. Plus, you know, chocolate. :'D

If you would like to try SLIMQUICK for yourself, use this coupon to take five dollars off until the end of August! You can find SLIMQUICK at most retailers and drugstores including Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, CVS, Walgreens, and RiteAid!

Will you be trying SLIMQUICK? Have you used something similar to boost your weight loss results? Comment below and let me know!

Hello Lovelies!
It's been a while, hasn't it? I've been keeping busy and doing the whole work grind thing. But I've also been shopping. ALWAYS doing that, haha.

In my journey through whatever store catches my fancy for the day, I was perusing the face cleanser aisle and found these charcoal strips by Biore. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I have blackheads on my nose like nobodies business. They've always been there and honestly, I didn't even know what they were until I was about eighteen. Talk about letting your skin go.

I decided why not try it? The scrubs I've been using haven't really given me amazing results, though they do make my skin feel loved. This was basically helping me double up on the blackhead war. Now, let me tell you... I didn't think these things were going to hurt. Whoops. Don't rip these off like band aids! Anyway, the first night I tried one of these, I was amazed. I didn't think it was going to literally RIP my blackheads out. If I had known that I would have gotten them a lot sooner!

Long story short, everyone should try these, even the normal ones. My pores have never felt so nice.
Do you use pore strips and which ones would you recommend?
