The Best Advent Calendars You Can Find in the US | 2015

Hello Lovelies!
As a kid, I would struggle to find the patience to wait for my advent calendar, which my mother would promptly give to me at night on December first. Normally, as you may recall if you got these as well, it was always filled with chocolate, typically in different Christmas related shapes. And that was great when I was ten because I didn't want anything besides chocolate. (I might still be that way sometimes!)

As I've gotten older, I've discovered that in the US, advent calendars seem to be a thing of the past and very rare to find. Or maybe I'm not looking in the right places? All I know is that I haven't been able to find proper calendars and this year I decided to snoop around for some. And not for the ones filled with candy, oh no, this year I'm looking for the beauty calendars.

And since they seem to be hard to find around here (maybe it's just me, let me know if it is!), I thought I'd share some of them with you, since they are pretty hard to get once you DO find them. I'm going to be sharing the ones that you can find in the US and not all of them are beauty, but most of them are.

1. The Body Shop

This is probably one of the most popular advent calendars you can get! I don't know if this is a regular thing, but The Body Shop has TWO of these bad boys out this year. One seems to be a premium in-store exclusive and the other is the normal, regular one that they always come out with. The premium is sold out, but you can still get the regular one online! This thing is filled with tons of wonderful, travel sized versions of the best The Body Shop has to offer and you can bet that I will be getting this thing this year! So help me, beauty Gods!

2. Lush

This one only goes for twelve days, but considering that it is Lush, I'm okay with that. This calendar contains a decent handful of bath bombs, bath melts, bubble bars, shower gel, hand cream, and soap. All cruelty free, all natural, all Christmas!

3. Ciate
For all the nail polish lovers out there, behold the cutest little polishes that you could ever hope to find! I'm not really a fan, since I have such a complex with wanting to go through the process of painting my nails, but you get 24 of these little guys, so it is definitely worth it! From the pictures I have seen, the colors look absolutely GORGEOUS. You'll probably be changing your nail color every day!

4. Tarte
I'm not sure if you will have much luck finding this one! I've narrowed down my search and it looks to be available on Amazon, so go snatch it up! This is another twelve day calendar and it comes with a limited edition lip tint and some other really cool limited edition items. I might have to grab this one myself!

Tarte Petite Treats

5. Charlotte Tilbury
A bit on the pricier side of the beauty adverts, but definitely one of the most coveted. This is yet another twelve day calendar and comes with a full sized lipstick, skincare, lip care, makeup remover, eyeliner, oh yeah this thing is packed. It may only have twelve days, but this will be a beautiful gift for any beauty lover.

6. Benefit
Not going to lie, this is one of the calendars I would probably buy, no questions asked. Why? Because I'm a sucker for design, clearly. This thing is bright and vibrant and would catch anyone's eye. Plus it includes their Sugarbomb lip gloss, which seems to be a hard thing to find on it's own.

Party Poppers

7. Too Faced
So I don't know if this is actually an advent calendar or not, because it looks rather small, but I thought it was absolutely cute and had to include it. It looks like it contains three palettes with eyeshadow, bronzer, and blush, as well as a mini sized Better Than Sex mascara.

Le Grand Chateau

8. Tanya Burr
A cute little twelve day calendar filled with exclusives and some favs from Tanya's collection. Now, I know that you can't really get this in any store in the US, but you can order it from feelunique.com, as they do international shipping. This is probably the cheapest of the calendars listed, but definitely one of the cutest!

Deck the Hauls

9. Yankee Candle
So. I love candles. And I love Christmas themed candles. This just seems like the kind of thing that I would buy. Unlike the UK version, which looks like it has a carousel design, this is a little Christmas house. It looks like it has 23 days worth of little votives and tea lights, which is an odd number I think, but it's a bargain!

10. David's Tea
Along with candles, I love tea. Now, I'm not quite sure if this would be considered a calendar, since it only has about five samples in it, but it is Christmas themed and I know I would at least be excited to get it! It's flavors include Snow Day, Mulled Wine, Hot Chocolate, Cardamom French Toast, and Sweet Almond Green. ALL TEA. Hot Chocolate tea?! Sign me up!

The Winter Collection

11. Starbucks
Along with tea and candles, I am partial to a coffee now and then. So this calendar really surprised me, because I wasn't expecting it! Starbucks has an advent calendar and it is probably the best design I have ever seen. It's a tree with baubles and inside the baubles are the products! Not only can you reuse the baubles for other things, it also comes with a five dollar gift card. Nice!
