My TBR List

Happy New Year, Lovelies!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and new years eve! I'm excited to get this year going right, so naturally that means starting with a book post.

There are tons of books I want to read this year, and even more on my Goodreads shelf, but I'm going to try my best to start with the ones I currently have sitting on my bookshelf, waiting to be picked up. I don't want to say I've been hoarding books, but I might have been hoarding. This happens easily when you wander into Barnes and Noble with your best friend and good intentions, but walk out with two books or so at a time. Ah well.

The Amateurs by Sara Shepard | You probably know the author of the Pretty Little Liars series. I think I've read all of her books at this point. Sara definitely knows how to write a compelling mystery in small towns with teenagers, and this one is going to be no different. This was on sale for $3 at B&N, so it wasn't like I could just leave this behind.

Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman | The cover of this book, along with the plot caught my attention. I've never read a book with an Asian main character, so I'm excited to get into this and get to know Kiko.

The Rattled Bones by S.M. Parker | I received this in one of Page Habit deliveries, so this book was kind of thrown on me. I'm always interested in a good mystery though, and this one has ghosts involved, so this should be a really good one. We'll see!

The Girls of Murder City by Douglas Perry | Okay, so this one was a complete crack shot. This was in the disposal bin at the library. So I nabbed it because it's based on the girls of Chicago, you know, like the movie. I'm sure it doesn't have any more connection than that, but since I love the movie, I figured I'd like to learn about the real jailbirds.

Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco | This was another one of those 'Whoops, I picked up the second novel before the first.... again' things. And it was all Tanisha's fault. She got me interested and didn't know there was a first one as well. So, I'd like to mention now that the first installment is on it's way and will be added to this list. See Stalking Jack the Ripper.

So Great a Prince by Lauren Johnson | Ah, a book dedicated to the accession of Henry VIII. Like I wasn't going to get this for my book shelf. I am most excited to dig into this one, but I'm forcing myself to be a little patient while I finish off my current read.

Meddling Kids by Edgar Cantero | Oh man, can I just tell you that the cover of this book is absolutely gorgeous? The link doesn't give it justice, it's so much more amazing in person. This is another one I'm forcing myself to be patient for. Why wouldn't you want to read something based loosely off of Scooby-Doo and the gang? It's so much darker than the cartoon, but it's not a fanfiction of the show either, so that should help.

All of the books on this list will be getting a full review, so check back later to see when they're up!
